The Celine brand was born in 1945, initially as a laboratory of custom-made footwear, and later expanded the production to women’s shoes and accessories. 
The first lines of pret à porter were launched only in the sixties. In January 2018, LVMH introduced Hedi Slimane as creative director of the brand. 
In September of the same year, a rebranding was announced that changes the name from Céline to Celine.
