Understanding Eyeglasses Measurements
The Perfect Fit Begins with the Right Measurements
At VISIONMOOD, every frame is curated not just for style—but for flawless fit and comfort. To help you find the pair that feels tailor-made, understanding eyeglass measurements is key.
You’ll often find three numbers engraved inside the arm (temple) of your frames. These numbers represent:
-
Lens Width – Typically 48–58 mm
This is the horizontal width of one lens, measured at its widest point. It affects how the frames sit on your face and how balanced the style looks. -
Bridge Width – Typically 14–24 mm
This is the distance between the two lenses. A well-fitted bridge ensures your frames stay comfortably in place without sliding down or pinching. -
Temple Length – Typically 135–150 mm
This is the length of the arms (temples) from the hinges to behind your ears. It contributes to the overall comfort and stability of your glasses.
Here’s an example: 52 18 145
This means your frames have 52mm lenses, an 18mm bridge, and 145mm temple arms.
Frame Size = Your Style + Your Comfort
While measurements guide fit, your personal style and how the frames complement your features matter just as much. Whether you’re looking for bold, statement pieces or sleek everyday essentials, our experts at VISIONMOOD are here to help you find your ideal frame.
